Reproduction Wine Bottle Labels
While wine may not be as effective as penicillin — certainly a wounded soldier wouldn’t mind tasting a bit of fine french wine. It’s vintage 1941, so it’s quality is questionable, but I’m sure he won’t mind.
I present to you some reproduction wine labels. They appear to have altered the look of the label to more effectively appeal to Germanic tastes. Joseph Drouhin is still making wine in France (and Oregon) to this day, so if you really wanted to be authentic you could find an extremely similar wine and slap the label on.
Removing a wine bottle label
If you want to keep the label intact, good luck. These instructions will obliterate it.
- Soak the wine bottle in mildly warm water with dish soap
- After about 20 minutes, you can use your thumb or a razor blade to remove the label
- If it’s too difficult, soak it longer
- For residual adhesive, I recommend a product called Goo Gone
Once the label is removed, cut out and glue on the new label. Rubber cement works well, spray adhesive works even better.

Great download…really adds something to displays
Thanks
Too bad there isn’t more of those for other drinks & foods……
