WWII Reproduction Medical Paperwork --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | Small Carlisle Box | ~~~~~~~~~ PAPER ~~~~~~~~~ lightweight card stock. ~~~~~~~~~ CUTTING ~~~~~~~~~ Cut out the exterior, free the tabs in the middle and the bottom. ~~~~~~~~~ ASSEMBLY ~~~~~~~~~ Score all interior folds. Fold all scores. Apply glue on the very top tab and glue to the opposite side. Insert a filler (either real bandage, or something so that the box will keep its shape) and fold and glue the end flaps. Carlisle bandages were protected from gas attacks by either impregnating the cardstock with paraffin wax or wrapping the exterior in cellophane. ~~~~~~~~~ USAGE ~~~~~~~~~ Many of these types of bandages were issued for basic hemorrage control and dressing in the field. ~~~~~~~~~ NOTES ~~~~~~~~~ This quality reproduction was done by PJ Phillips who graciously allowed it to be posted on this website. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you have any other questions, feel free to email me at tdewey@wwiimedic.com The image file this file describes is copyright under the Creative Commons Licence viewable at http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/2.5/
